The 133rd annual Central District Volunteer Fireman’s Convention beginning now in Osceola Mills.
Fire officials say stations across twenty six counties will be taking part in the Central District gathering.
This year Columbia Fire Company is hosting the event for the first time since 2002.
Equipment Manager Mike Yanche says this is about reunion and celebrating the hard work their brothers have done.
He says they will have a battle of the barrel, a grand parade and live bands for everyone.
“Everybody gets to get together. That’s the biggest thing all fire companies coming together because you know, we’re all brothers, so that’s the best part of it, I think.”
The Fire Convention runs from August 14th through the 16th at the Columbia Fire Company.
