Organizers in Blair County say a 25th anniversary commemoration ceremony will be held at the Jaffa Shrine to honor the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Officials say the observance will be rooted in faith, patriotism and civic pride.
Organizers say nationally recognized and local musicians will perform during the ceremony.
And a special part of the evening will be recognition of local Gold Star families and a ‘walk of honor’ saluting local emergency officials.
“This memorial ceremony is not only a time to reflect on the tragedy of that day, but also to celebrate the courage, compassion, and resilience that emerged from it. We remember the ordinary people who performed extraordinary acts of heroism, and we recognize that enduring strength of communities that stood together in the face of unimaginable loss,”
The event is free to the public and begins at 7 p.m. on September 11th.
