Authorities say an Alexandria man is facing decades behind bars after being convicted of raping and trafficking a teenage girl on Easter weekend back in 2021.
They say it’s the first human trafficking related case to be tried before a jury in Blair County since the law was enacted in 2014.
Authorities say Donald Hetrick was found guilty yesterday on all the charges including human trafficking, rape and sexual exploitation of a minor.
Hetrick and a co-defendant were charged in late 2022 after police say the pair conspired to pay a teeange victim to engage in sexual activity at a Blair County hotel.
Hetrick is scheduled to be sentenced in late April
