Bella Barrita Beauty Bar and Salon in the Roxbury section of Johnstown said it held a fundraiser on Sunday for one of its hairstylists battling cancer.
The owner of the salon said Valerie Kavulic is going to have to take time off for treatment. She said in an effort to help Kavulic fight cancer and support herself and her family, including two daughters, the beauty bar raised money by giving haircuts and selling facial scrubs, jewelry, and candy.
They said Sunday is the only planned fundraiser, but to help further contact the salon at (814) 341-6168.
