A Bellefonte man is headed to trial in a near deadly stabbing case.
During a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, the victim testified that James Surovec stabbed him four times, including twice in the neck, during a fight on July 17th.
Surovec faces various charges including attempted homicide and arson.
Police say he reportedly started a small fire inside a Bellefonte apartment building and then stabbed the victim when he found the fire.
According to police, the victim stated that thought he was going to die, telling a friend, “tell my children I love them.”
