The Centre County YMCA’s Anti-Hunger Program is continuing to put meals on the tables for thousands in our area. It was about a year ago when we stopped by the Moshannon Valley YMCA where they were collecting food donations. Now a year later, they’ve distributed tons of food. And this week, they have another busy week.
What began in the YMCA Gym became the Y’s Anti-Hunger Campaign, now with its own storage warehouse. Tuesday in Philipsburg, at the former bowling alley location on Enterprise Drive over 4,500 gallons of milk will be distributed as the need continues.
Wednesday afternoon, another Food Distribution effort in Downtown State College on Locust Lane. Students tell us they appreciate the support. Y Organizers stress the Anti-Hunger Campaign wouldn’t be able to grow without their many Volunteers and the increase in Corporate support.
