One person has been confirmed dead after a house fire in Jefferson County Saturday morning, according to officials.
Officials say they were dispatched to a home along Route 36 in Gaskill Township just after 11:30 a.m.
According to Jefferson County Coroner Brenda Shumaker, 51-year-old Jody Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency officials said more than five fire departments responded to the call and that State Police are also involved.
Investigators have not yet revealed a cause of the fire.
