Type 1 Diabetes can strike anyone at any age. The autoimmune disease occurs when a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, the hormone that controls blood-sugar levels. Duncansville resident Lisa Treese’s son, Zach, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes after being rushed to the hospital when he was just three years old. Lisa joins us with the warning signs of the disease.
