According to a press release, state police responded to a report of widespread vehicle break-ins at the resort just after 9 p.m.

State police said items reported stolen from the vehicles included digital cameras, skis, child booster seats, personal documents and other electronics.

State police also said a 2023 Ford Escape was also reported stolen from the parking lot.

The press release states that the stolen vehicle was eventually located in the main parking lot driven by Michael Curtis, 32.

According to state police, items reported stolen from the earlier vehicle break-ins were located inside the vehicle.

The press release states that Curtis was discovered to be intoxicated and was taken into custody.

Online court dockets show that Curtis faces one felony charge of theft by unlawful taking of moveable property, two felony charges of receiving stolen property, one charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, one charge of driving under the influence and one charge of possessing an offensive weapon.

Court dockets also show that Curtis is currently being held at the Somerset County Prison with a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 21.
