In Centre County Four year old Aiden Getz is now a 2022 Children’s Miracle Network Kid Ambassador.
Aiden is from Spring Mills, Centre County and was born on New Year’s Day in 2018 premature, at 28 weeks, and only weighed three pounds.
He spent several months at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville.
The Children’s Miracle Network was able to provide funding for Aiden’s treatments and named him a Child Ambassador in response to his progress.
“I’ve had people reach out and say if we needed gas money for our Danville trips or if he needed something, just to call. And that just blows my mind. Them cheering him on like that, it just melted me. It feels good to know that we have such a big support system in this.”
Aiden loves going to Preschool, playing and getting dirty! And of course, he loves fire trucks.
You may see him in parades throughout Centre County this year, riding in the back of his grandfather’s pickup truck, as you saw him in the Miles Township Parade last week!
