Police say Kevin Shirey is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and simple assault. On May 6th, Officers say they were called to a home along Quarry Avenue in Sandy Township for a report of an assault. They say the victim was allowing Shirey to stay in an RV next to his property. Officials say the two got into an argument where Shirey grabbed a bat and hit the victim 8 to 10 times in the head and hand. The victim suffered multiple injuries and was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois for treatment.
Court Documents show that Shirey is being held at the Clearfield County Prison on $50,000 Bail and has a Preliminary Hearing set for May 13th.
