An Altoona man wanted for attempting to shoot another man at a child’s birthday party on April 23rd is now in custody.
Police say Charles Mobley faces numerous charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and robbery.
Mobley had been uninvited but showed up to the party anyway.
According to the criminal affidavit, Mobley is accused of pistol whipping the victim multiple times, before aiming the gun at the man’s head and pulling the trigger 3 times, but the gun never fired.
Mobley then demanded the victim’s cell phone and car keys.
Mobley is in the Blair County Prison on $250 thousand dollars bail.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 22nd.
