Blacklick Valley School District Active Shooter Training

Active school shooter drills have become routine for many school districts, even when students are not on campus.

Blacklick Valley High School had an active shooter drill organized by the Fatula Group an organization that says it specializes in active shooter training for schools and businesses.

There were many first responders on the scene including area police, fire departments, ambulances and Pennsylvania state troopers.

The owner of the group, Bubba Fatula, said the drill helps first responders plan and understand what they should do in an active shooter situation compared to what students and staff are trained to do.

“Blacklick Valley said you know what, we would love the opportunity for our local first responders in the local area to have the opportunity to respond to a mock active shooter drill.”

No students or staff were on campus during the drill.
