For the first time in 2 years, Camp Cadet in Somerset County is back in full force. Camp Cadet is not your typical sleep-away camp. For 5 days, the Cadets are trained by active Officers and get a realistic insight of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy.
Trooper Jeff Brock, Director of Camp Cadet saying: “Its not a Bootcamp, its not a discipline camp where were gonna fix what is broken so to speak. We take good kids and make them great.”
Monday was Day-1 at camp and the Cadets already have been CPR certified. Throughout the rest of the week, the kids will learn more skills beneficial through life and in Law Enforcement.
