Central Pa Festival of the Arts organizers put together a children and youth day, letting local kids engage with the arts.
You’ll find nothing but booths lining Allen Street in State College. There’s no shortage of activities for kids at the Central Pa Festival of the Arts non-stop entertainment and arts education.
This is the first of five days that the festival will flood the streets of downtown State College. Some kids tell me what they like about art and a mother says what draws her back each year.
“I like abstract art and animal art.”
“I also like to do art, and the theme is usually gory things.”
“You got a little Quentin Tarantino over here.”
“It’s really like a community here. People from school, people from church, people from swim team and moms that you’ve seen at the park or the library when your children were little, you just get to reconnect and lots of like ‘Hi, how’s it going?'”
But the Festival fun doesn’t end there! If you want to swing by, everything runs through Sunday.
