Classes Resume Thursday In Westmont

Westmont Hilltop School District students returned back to the classroom Thursday morning for the first time in two days.

Students stayed home Tuesday and Wednesday after a “threatening note” was discovered posted to the Junior/Senior High School on Monday morning.

While no arrests have been made so far, Upper Yoder Township Police Chief John Blake assures students that they’re safe to go to school.

Westmont Hilltop officials said Thursday night classes would start on time Friday and they’d “continue to have additional officers on each campus from Upper Yoder, West Hills, and the District Attorney’s office to ensure the school day operates safely.”
