Another delay has been granted in the Centre County court case involving Penn State hockey star Gavin McKenna.
Earlier this week, a judge signed a continuance in the case, with McKenna’s legal counsel citing the reason for the requested delay as “additional time is needed for discovery and to engage in resolution discussions with district attorney’s office.”
The hockey phenom was charged earlier this year after police say he got into a fight in downtown State College and broke another man’s jaw.
Initially, McKenna was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault, but prosecutors later dropped that charge.
Court records show that McKenna is still facing a misdemeanor simple assault charge and summary counts.
