Authorities say a Bedford County woman has been charged with homicide in the death of a 3-year-old child over Memorial Day Weekend.

Police are still trying to get answers after a 3-year-old little boy was allegedly strangled to death by a woman at this home
Here along East First Street in Everett Borough.
Authorities say 31-year-old Chelsea Cooley faces charges of criminal homicide, child endangerment, aggravated assault, & strangulation according to court documents.
Police say it happened on Saturday when troopers were dispatched to the home for a report of a child who had been transported to UPMC Bedford.
Authorities say the child was then flown to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for further treatment but then passed away on Sunday Afternoon.
Authorities say child died from having four wet wipes shoved down his throat and that there is also evidence of strangulation.
Cooley allegedly waited 25 minutes to call 911 and police say had also changed her story multiple times.
Cooley had bite marks on her hands and police say that she said the child was misbehaved.
Police say an autopsy of the child revealed he had suffered extensive bruising and injury & his death was ruled a homicide.
Authorities also determined that the boy had died as a result of manual strangulation & asphyxiation.
The identity of the child has not been released.
Cooley was arraigned late Tuesday Night & is being housed at the Bedford County Correctional Facility.
Her bail was denied and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 8.
