State police in Centre County say an Altoona man was killed late Friday night in a two-vehicle, head-on crash on Interstate 99 in Worth Township.
Investigators say the crash occurred just before 11:30 p.m. Friday as the driver of a Honda Accord was traveling southbound and crossed over the grass median.
Police say the vehicle then struck a Subaru Legacy head-on in the northbound lane.
Authorities say the driver of the Honda, identified as 63-year-old Robert Cummings II, was pronounced dead at the scene and was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Police say the driver of the Subaru, a 24-year-old State College man, was transported, via ambulance, to UPMC Altoona with suspected injuries.
Investigators say the passenger in the Subaru, a 33-year-old Indianapolis man, was flown to UPMC Altoona with suspected serious injuries.
