Members of Freedom Ride USA invited the Community to ride along with them on their Annual Fourth of July Bike Ride. The Ride raises money to help Veterans at the James E. Van Zandt Medical Center. Approximately 450 Bike Riders left the Tyrone American Legion and headed down to Delgrosso’s Park, where they turned around and rode back.
The Event was started in 2011 by a small group of friends, and has now raised over $200,000 to help area Veterans in need. Sean Riggle, a Board Member of Freedom Ride USA saying: “We’re very proud that every single dollar that comes in goes to benefit the Vets. You know, we’re a very lean operation, we take pride in that; we also have a lot of fun, you know, it’s great cause, you know, and on the Fourth of July you can beat it.”
After the ride, all Participants were invited to a barbecue at the Tyrone American Legion.
