Johnstown Family Wants Help In Cold Case Homicide

In June, 21-year-old Caleb Beppler was shot and killed outside of Liquid Currency bar in the Cambria City neighborhood of Johnstown.

On Thursday, the alleged shooter Dirk Jones was arrested by U.S. Marshals in New Jersey.

Beppler’s grandmother, Tammy Winkleman said her 36-year-old niece Britney Rummell was a victim of a homicide last year. Rummell, along with Lionel Mickens, 61, and his dog Daniel were found in a Hornerstown home along Pine Street shot to death on April 30, 2022, officials said.

An arrest has not yet been made in that case.

Family of Rummell encourages members of the community to step forward if they have any information related to the case, hoping to get justice for the victims.
