One organization in Cambria County is “setting kids up for success” this summer.
The Greater Johnstown Community YMCA is hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day.
It will be held Saturday, April 29th from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at the Y along Haynes Street in Downtown Johnstown.
Organizers say this event is free and open to the public to “celebrate kids being kids.”
Some featured activities include little ninjas, arrow tag, e-sports, inflatable obstacle course, and face painting.
Organizers say the event is meant to encourage families to take advantage of the summer resources the Y has to offer, like summer day camp and swim lessons.
The Healthy Kids Day is sponsored by Eggland’s best.
The Y partnered with the Johnstown Fire Department, the Learning Lamp, and Galliker’s for the event.
Organizers say they will have healthy snacks along with a chance to win door prizes.
