The National Library Associationhere is highlighting libraries that say they’re reaching for the stars. Some of the libraries awarded these forward star achievements are right here in our viewing area.
They include the Cambria County Library, Carrollton Public Library, Centre Hall Area Branch, Penn State University Park Library and Myersdale Public Library.
Organizers say National Library Week is a time to highlight the essential library’s play in bringing communities together. This year’s theme is there’s more to the story promoting the idea that not only are libraries for books,
but they also offer entertainment, education, book clubs, crafting classes, lectures and other ways to learn beyond the page.
