Pittsburgh Man Sentenced For Moxham Homicide

Authorities say the Pittsburgh area man accused of shooting and killing a 41-year-old man in late January in the Moxham-section of Johnstown could spend decades behind bars.

Officials say Michael Cogdell appeared in court Tuesday morning where he was sentenced to serve 15 to 38 years in state prison.

Police charged Cogdell earlier this year in connection to the death of Marvin Price, who was found shot inside a vehicle along Park Avenue.

Investigators arrested Cogdell in Las Vegas in March, months after the shooting.

Last month, Cogdell pleaded guilty to third-degree murder in the case.

Price’s “wife,” Lexus Simms, is also facing charges in the case after police say she allegedly stole a phone from the scene of the crime that reportedly belonged to Cogdell.
