New year, new wages.
The Somerset County Commissioners held their annual salary board meeting Tuesday morning to approve the 2023 salaries for county workers.
Somerset County Treasurer Tony DeLuca says those financial decisions were made without him.
“Everything is behind closed doors. Everything is private. They do not include me,”
Deluca says he’s entitled to be the secretary of the salary board and be involved in the decision making process.
“They don’t follow the procedure here in Somerset County. They do what they want to. But there’s laws that say they have to do it, and they need to do it. That’s what I brought to their attention,”
The Somerset County Commissioners declined to comment on camera.
