National Night Out gives first responders across the Country the chance to interact with their community.
Right here in Centre County the Spring Township Police Department says it is a great way to get everyone involved.
The Spring Township Police Department partnered with the local Giant right here on Benner Pike in Bellefonte for their Inaugural National Night Out.
The event offers free food, games and the opportunity to talk with local law enforcement.
The Spring Township Chief of Police talked about how important this is for the kids that come.
“We really want to get out there and get to know the children at a young age and allow them to see that we’re the good guys and we’re here to help them. We’re the community partners and helpers in our community.”
