And this comes mere weeks after airlines cancelled and delayed thousands of holiday flights throughout the country for a variety of reasons including winter weather.
However the authority’s director notes that situations like this can happen occasionally.
Flights started flying in and out of University Park Airport again just before Noon.
One passenger flying from Arizona through Philly to visit family in State College told us about his experience with delays.
“It was just quiet. Nobody was really upset. A lot of the workers around the airport that usually are out on the grounds were in the corridors just grouping up. It was kind of nice to see everybody and then when it, when the flights started coming in, the course, everybody spread out. But yeah, nobody was that upset. It was cool. It was fine.”
As for the cause of the glitch that remains to be seen at this time.
