Authorities in Bedford County say two men are behind bars after they reportedly confessed to repeatedly burglarizing a residence last spring and stealing multiple items.
Troopers say they began investigating the thefts last April after the victims reported that someone had broken into their vacation home, located along Taylor Road in New Paris.
Investigators say in June, authorities located the stolen items at a residence along Cortland Drive.
Police say 28-year-old Brady Wayde and 44-year-old Jimmy Daniel were found in possession of the stolen items, which included tools, furniture, dishes, a small refrigerator, a telescope, binoculars, a meat grinder and copper spouting and gutters.
Authorities say Wayde reportedly confessed to burglarizing the home with Daniel and noted that it took “several trips” for them to steal all the items.
According to online court records, both men were arraigned Monday to the Bedford County Correctional Facility on $75,000 bail each.
