Authorities with the Altoona Police Department say a Blair County man is behind bars after he was accused of physically and sexually assaulting a woman over the weekend.
According to the affidavit, police say the woman told officers that she and 20-year-old Aaron Foster had allegedly attended a party on Saturday night and that Foster reportedly became “upset” with her because she had “touched another man’s arm.”
Police say when the two returned to Foster’s residence, located along 3rd Ave., he reportedly began “shoving” the woman and forced her into the bedroom of the home.
Investigators say Foster then reportedly forced the woman to remove her clothes, at which time he “pinned” the victim to the bed and began to sexually assault her and violate her with a sex toy.
“I had to make it up to him,” the woman reportedly told police.
Authorities say during the alleged assault, Foster also reportedly struck the woman and grabbed her by the throat.
Police say the woman was later taken to UPMC Altoona where doctors observed numerous bruises and injuries consistent with both a physical and sexual assault.
Authorities say police also reviewed text messages between the woman and Foster in which he reportedly admitted to his wrongdoing but claimed that he did so because the victim’s actions were “unjustifiable.”
Police say the woman also told officers that Foster reportedly brought her flowers and gifts as an apology.
According to online court records, Foster was arraigned Tuesday on several charges, including rape, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and strangulation.
He is being held at the Blair County Prison on $750,000 bail.
