In Centre County, a man learned on Thursday that he will spend at least two and half years behind bars after pleading guilty to child pornography charges. It was almost a year ago, late last August, when Police and Agents from the State Attorney General’s Office served a search warrant on the Spring Mills area home of Lucas Garber. The Police raid resulted in the 27-year-old Garber being charged with 33 felony counts of possessing child pornography.
On Thursday, Centre County President Judge Jonathon Grine sentenced Garber to 30 to 60 months in a State Prison on five criminal charges. The remaining charges were dismissed. Garber told the Judge he was sorry for his actions, and hoped to learn from this. He talked about new found sobriety and said: “I’m taking every chance I have now to seek treatment.”
As part of the sentence, Garber must also register as tier one Meghans Law Offender for the next 15 years.
