We’re starting right off with the work zone tragedy in York County.
Three construction workers are dead after a crash on Interstate 83 South this morning including one with ties to our area
This comes just as Work Zone Awareness Week kicked off on Monday.
Police say a 24-year old crashed into a construction vehicle in an active work zone.
The crash caused the box truck and the person driving to hit the workers on the shoulder of the road.
Troopers say all three were pronounced dead on scene
“It really was a tragedy in York County last night. And I know that the PennDOT team and the commonwealth as a whole extend their prayers to the families of the three individuals who lost their lives last night.
A tragic event, when anybody loses their lives, especially tragic for folks who were doing work on behalf of 13 million people in our great state.”
