Forest Hills School District held a Career Event Monday in effort to try to keep High School Students in the area after Graduation. Representatives from Americorps, Penn Highlands Community College, Learning Lamp, PA Career Link and the Cambria County Prison discussing job opportunities and more.
Superintendent Dave Lehman says there are plenty of openings available — it’s just getting the kids in touch with the right people. Lehman adding: “I think its very important, some of our kids don’t know what they don’t know. So these opportunities show you different jobs that you might not have thought possible years before. Our goal is to make the Ranger community better. What better way is to have your people staying local and working here.”
The District also has a Partnership with Gap Vaxx in the City of Johnstown to give kids opportunities right out of School if they so chose.
