We begin tonight with a former Huntingdon County inmate who is facing assault charges tonight for allegedly attacking a Corrections Officer
Your looking at 29-year-old Shawndell Miller who police say in June of last year punched the officer more than 10 times and kicked him twice before being restrained at SCI Huntingdon.
Police say the attack significantly injured the Corrections Officer, who had to be treated at a local hospital for injuries to his ear, nose, forehead and teeth.
Miller was charged in late march with felony and misdemeanor counts for assault.
He is being housed in SCI Greene.
