Hartslog Heritage Day Festival

A community Gathered this weekend for the 46th annual Hartslog Heritage Day Festival in Alexandria. Huntington County Annual Festival is a fundraiser for the all volunteer run Hartslog Heritage Museum.

This all began as a homecoming celebration of sorts ahead of the nation’s bicentennial back in the day.

It’s now morphed into a festival that included a parade this weekend through town 100 unique arts and craft vendors, tractor and car shows, as well as plenty of food and entertainment.

“Every five years. They have reunions and stuff. And it seems to be this weekend that everybody comes back, everybody cleans up town, everybody just gets ready for this event. And I think we have a great connection and relationship with the school still. And so the kids volunteer throughout the week and then they become volunteers as they grow up as well.”
