Hispanic Heritage Month recognize this weekend and State College we’re at the second annual Latin Festival on Fraiser Street over the weekend where there were local vendors offering arts, crafts and food from Latin American countries, along with two stages of music and dancing, along with a
parade of dresses showing traditional Latin clothing, numerous Penn State organizations getting involved to bring attention to the Latin American community both on campus and throughout the borough.
“We have invited a lot of their students, organizations that Penn State. So we have like the side body and the Colombian organizations. We also have community members whose spouses work at Penn State, but they are here selling their products.”
Organizers tell us they hope to grow the event and have more people take part in the years ahead.
