Organizer Jim Kilmartin tells us 15 teams played in the three on three basketball tournament the first year this year. He says there are over 200 teams with kids as young as seven to people in their 60.
And so we’re fundraising for Everest Christian Academy, we’re fundraising for Citi Blessings, where we give food away in the city. During COVID, we give over £1,000,000 away our food. And so we’re continuing to do that. And the third thing we’re doing this year is we’re adopting a playground here in the city, renovating Garden Heights basketball court.
So it hasn’t been taken care of for many years. But this year we’re going to be able to go and renovate it with the funds from this team’s traveled from a number of states to participate.
