An informational meeting about water infrastructure was held today for communities in Cambria, Indiana, Somerset and Westmoreland Counties.
The meeting was to make residents aware of resources for small and rural areas to improve water quality availability- sewer systems and more.
Case studies were shown on how others communities in the state have done things organizers says one of the main hurdles in Western PA is industrial and mining pollution in the water .
“Frequently we don’t have the financial or technical ability showing people how you can do that.”
He says that as communities grow or shrink the need will change for infrastructure and they are always looking for a way to adapt.
