A Philipsburg woman will spend several years behind bars for her role in the fatal overdose of a 26-year-old man earlier this year.
Shianna Lambert appeared in Centre County court on Tuesday where she was sentenced to serve 4 to 8 years in state prison.
In June, Lambert was charged with drug delivery resulting in death following the investigation into a fatal fentanyl overdose in Spring Township.
Police learned that Lambert, who was a known drug user, would reportedly travel to Philadelphia to purchase heroin and fentanyl and would then sell it in Centre County.
Authorities say text messages reportedly showed that Lambert had planned to meet up with the victim after he had recently been released from jail.
Investigators say Lambert later admitted to purchasing more drugs, just days prior to the victim’s overdose, and told officers that she supplied him with said drugs.
An autopsy revealed the presence of fentanyl and xylazine in the victim’s system at the time of his death, according to police.
