Ridgway Chainsaw Rendezvous

The 22nd annual Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous is underway in Ridgway.

Over 90 carvers from all over the us and from other countries are in elk county for the 4 day event.

In additon to the carvers, the event has plenty of food , beverages and arts and crafts.

This year there’s a $5 admission fee. Which is good for all 4 days. However, organizers say they are not charging for parking

“We’ve gone from about maybe three to five thousand people in the beginning to the last couple of years, we’ve had about forty thousand people pass through the rendezvous. So it’s great for the economy for our community, it’s a great economy for the local stores, and it’s a great way for us to promote the art form.

Organizers explains the admission fee not only covers expenses for the event, but is also donated to the Tri-County Rails to Trails and for Carvers In Need.

The Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous is at the Ridgway Mills Campground on West Main Street and runs from 10 to 7 Wednesday through Friday, and from 10 to 3 on Saturday.
