Teen Suicide

Teen suicide is the second leading cause of death for people ages 15-24. Licensed therapist, Christy Beck, talks about what can be done about this problem.

Resources: In an emergency, call 911 or take the child to a hospital or crisis center for evaluation. If your concerns are less urgent, seek help as soon as possible from a mental health professional. The child’s school psychologist might be able to share resources in your community.

Visit the National Suicide Prevention 24/7 Lifeline or call 1-800-273-8255 or visit the 24/7 Crisis Text Line or text HOME to 741741.

Visit Beck Psychotherapy or the Herr Clinic for more information.
