Fire officials in Blair County say multiple crews were called to battle a blaze at a Hollidaysburg residence late Sunday night.
Authorities say crews from Geeseytown, Phoenix and Duncansville Fire Departments spent approximately three hours extinguishing the flames at the residence located along Axelle Street.
Officials say the fire began in the garage of the home and quickly spread to the attic.
Fire authorities say multiple pets were rescued from the blaze and the family was able to escape unharmed.
Investigators say the fire caused “substantial” damage to the home and the cause is still being investigated.
