The Columbia Fire Company in Osceola Mills is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year. To commemorate the Milestone, events are scheduled all this week. On Sunday was the Annual Car Show and Monday morning the Firemen’s Parade made it’s way through town. Following the Parade, the festivities moved to the Fire House for the Opening Day of the Firemen’s Fair.
The Fire Company says none of this would be possible without the support from the Community. Assistant Chief Trevor Harris of the Columbia Fire Company saying: “Without the Community, we wouldn’t be able to do events like this. If we didn’t have their support, we wouldn’t be able to keep our doors open. So they help us have a great Fire Department, the town should be proud of what they have here, we like to help them, and we can’t help them without them helping us.”
The Fireman’s Fair runs every night thru Saturday, then wraps up with a Fireworks display Saturday night. This is the Columbia Fire Department’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
