State police have identified the victim of Monday’s fatal crash in Barr Township.
Investigators say 48-year-old Shawn Weiland, of Clymer, was killed when his SUV traveled off of Route 553, down an embankment and struck several trees.
Authorities say the crash occurred just before 10 a.m. and closed the roadway for an extended period of time.
Police say Weiland was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police and the Cambria County coroner’s office are investigating the crash.
