Johnstown Couple Arrested in Route 403 Homicide

Authorities say a Johnstown couple has been charged in connection to the body found dumped along Route 403 near the Cambria-Indiana county line last week.

State police have filed charges against 41-year-old Justin Green and 30-year-old Brooke Pullin.

Police say Green faces charges headlined by robbery and criminal homicide, along with abuse of a corpse, while Pullin faces charges related to tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

Investigators say the victim, Daryl Lee, was found early Friday morning along Route 403 in East Wheatfield Township.

Investigators say Lee died of a gunshot wound and they found DNA evidence, including a hair, on his body.

According to the affidavit, troopers say they were able to identify Green through interviews.

Police say Green had reportedly been working with Lee on several landscaping jobs around the city.

Troopers say they interviewed Green’s girlfriend who told them that he stated that he “did something really bad.”

She also stated that she knew Green had Lee’s credit card and told him not to use it, police noted.

State police later interviewed Green whom they say admitted to shooting Lee with a shotgun he had bought at a yard sale.

Police say Green said he shot Lee in the passenger seat of his truck after they were riding together to pick up money from a job, according to state police.

Authorities say Green allegedly stated he later picked up his girlfriend and their child and they drove to Maryland where he discarded the gun in the Potomac River.

State police say Lee’s body was reportedly still in the truck, covered by a shirt, as the family drove to Maryland, however, Pullin allegedly did not know the body was there.

The couple was arraigned Wednesday morning in front of District Judge Kevin Price.

They’re being lodged in the Cambria County Prison.
