We joined the Johnstown RC Club on a calm, sunny day as they took flight with some of their personal RC Aircraft. The Club was formed in 1962 and has dozens of members of all ages. The group participates in the building and flight of Model Aircraft, and are affiliated with the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
We spoke with members of the Johnstown RC Club about what got them into the hobby. Members speak on getting into the hobby, and what it takes to learn how to pilot these Model Aircraft. They also discussed the building and repair of the models, which some members say they enjoy even more than flying the aircraft.
